Juniper Junos Automation Workshop

30 August 2016 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

IAS Networking Solutions Partner Juniper Networks

This full-day program provides an introduction to Junos Automation and an interactive lab session.

During the workshop, we explain what Junos Automation is and why it is important.  We discuss the various components, types, and building blocks of Automation, and present sample case studies that are dissected into constituent technologies which are then explained with demos.  The session offers the audience an understanding of what Automation can achieve and reviews the various tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Python, etc.) that are available and easily utilized with Junos and other Juniper services.

The workshop also includes a “hands-on” lab which provides the opportunity for attendees to directly familiarize themselves with the installation, application, and utilization of various open-sourced Automation building blocks.  Participants should have basic programming skills, be familiar with scripting, and have a basic knowledge of Junos and computer networking.

Participants need to bring their laptops with Virtual Box, VMware Player or equivalent installed.  Basic Junos familiarity will be necessary.
